How to install a new PHP module

All available PHP modules can be enabled/disabled in the Control Panel on the "System> PHP modules" page. However, if you want to install another PHP module that is not available on the "System> PHP modules" page, follow these instructions:

  1. After logging into the control panel, go to the "System> SSH terminal" page and enter your control panel username and password in the displayed terminal (login).
  2. Enter the following command "sudo apt-get update" in the terminal and press enter. If asked for a password, enter the password for your control panel.
  3. If you want to see all the available PHP modules that you can install in the terminal, enter the following command "sudo apt-cache search php7.0" (7.0 - you can replace with the version of PHP you want). The result is a list of PHP modules.
  4. For example, to install the PHP GD (Imaging Module), enter the following command "sudo apt-get install php7.0-gd" in a terminal.
  5. After executing the above commands, the newly installed module will appear on the "System> PHP modules" page, from where you can enable/disable it.
